We have the following opportunities for you to act as an Ambassador for CAIR-Minnesota:
Thursday, August 8th, “Practical Empathy – Introduction to Nonviolent Communication and Responding with Humanity in the Heat of the Moment – NVC on the Street” Workshop at Bethany’s Lower Fellowship Hall from 6:30 to 9:15 pm– we’ll need just a few volunteers to help with set up, assist during the event and clean up afterwards. Volunteers are welcome to take part in the workshop - bonus!
PLEASE NOTE NEW DATE - Thursday, August 15th, 6:30 to 9:00 pm Youth Program Fundraising Dinner at Hope Trinity Lutheran Church, 2730 E 31st St, Minneapolis, MN 55406 – we anticipate 50 people will be attending – we’ll need about 5-6 volunteers for set up, assisting during the event and clean up. (We have some volunteers but could use some more help).
Sunday, August 25th, Open Streets Franklin, we will have a CAIR-MN table (bonus attraction - this year we'll be providing a tent for SHADE!) right outside our office at 2511 East Franklin Avenue here in the wonderful Seward Neighborhood. The hours of Open Streets Franklin will be from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm so you can just assign yourself a two-hour shift (or more, if you are so inclined).
See this link for the CAIR-MN Volunteer Opportunities Sign Up Sheet.
We’ll have a couple of Saturday dates at the Midway Farmers Market to be scheduled in September– I am waiting for confirmation on that and will let everyone know.
Reminder - Volunteer Meetings take place the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the CAIR-MN offices.
